Rajesh Krishnan is a Mumbai-born filmmaker celebrated for his sharp comedic sensibilities and relatable storytelling across advertising, web, and feature films.
He laid the foundation for his craft after earning a postgraduate degree in Advertising and Communications in 1995, beginning his creative career as a copywriter with agencies such as Contract, Enterprise Nexus, and Ogilvy.
Known for infusing humour into his commercials, some of his most notable works include Center Fruit – Tabalchi (2010), Naukri.com’s “Men Will Be Men” campaign, and Mentos – Dimag Ki Batti Jala De, among many other memorable campaigns.
His early career also saw him writing for Channel [V] and heading on-air promos at B4U Music. In 2007, Rajesh co-founded Soda Films, a boutique production house in Mumbai, with producer Ameya Dahibavkar. Under his leadership, Soda Films became known for crafting humour-driven commercials that connect instantly with audiences.
Rajesh ventured into the digital space with the critically acclaimed web series TVF Tripling (Season 1, 2016). He made his feature film debut with Lootcase (2020)—a dark comedy thriller he co-wrote and directed. In 2024, Rajesh directed the Hindi-language heist comedy Crew.
