Based in Delhi

Sunil is a pioneering force in Indian advertising and brand-building, with a career spanning Contract, McCann Erickson, and O&M Delhi, where he played a pivotal role in shaping major campaigns—including the iconic Incredible India initiative.
In 2004, he founded ‘A’, India’s most successful independent agency, which later merged with Wieden+Kennedy (W+K) in 2007. As Executive Creative Director at W+K India, he helped build some of India’s most beloved brands, notably redefining the IndiGo airline experience and setting new standards in customer engagement.
His impact extends beyond advertising—Make in India, launched in 2014 in response to a government brief, became a global movement almost overnight. He later transitioned into a Directorial role at W+K to co-found Motherland Joint Ventures, an experimental brand-building studio.
Beyond brand strategy, Sunil has actively contributed to India's art and culture landscape. He launched W+K Exp, an art gallery, and editorial ventures like Motherland Magazine and The India Tube, a travel platform rooted in local storytelling. He is also a Founder Trustee of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, one of India’s most prestigious contemporary art festivals. Social Media Handles: Instagram: @madeinmotherland
