Shachi Malhotra is a Mumbai-based director who began her creative journey as a producer on digital films.
A transformative year at Prague Film School cemented her passion for direction and marked her shift toward helming projects of her own. Over the years, she has developed a filmmaking style that blends cinematic flair with storytelling that is both character-driven and visually striking, striking a fine balance between stylised visuals and narrative resonance.
Her body of work includes notable campaigns such as Etihad Airways starring Katrina Kaif, Urban Company – Chhoti si Door, films for Facebook, Absolut (Rani Cypher)—where she introduced a unique animation-meets-live-action approach—Spotify, UNIQLO x Katrina Kaif, Godrej, Jack & Jones, MTV, Crocs x Chumbak, Mumbai Indians’ “Aali Re!”, Skechers featuring Ananya Pandey, and Instagram’s “Banana Bread Bonanza”, among others.
Shachi has collaborated with brands including Maruti Suzuki ARENA, Etihad Airways, Facebook, Absolut, UNIQLO, Spotify, Crocs, MTV, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank, among many others.
Beyond advertising, she continues to explore creative and social avenues. She produced the song “Dimaag Ke Taale Tod Na” by 6 Pack Band 2.0 featuring Tiger Shroff and has been an active contributor to animal welfare initiatives—underscoring her belief in storytelling that carries purpose and meaning.
