Nandini Shrikent

Nandini Shrikent is an Indian casting director and co-founder of Kabiku Productions. Over a career spanning more than two decades, she has worked on the casting of several Hindi films, including Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), and Gully Boy (2019).

Shrikent was exposed to international cinema at a young age through her mother, who worked with Cinemalaya, a platform for Asian cinema in New Delhi. She initially worked behind the scenes, assisting Govind Nihalani on Thakshak and collaborating with production designer Sharmishta Roy.

She did not originally intend to pursue casting as she had approached Excel Entertainment seeking a position in the art department. Instead, Zoya Akhtar offered her the opportunity to cast Lakshya (2004), which became the starting point of her career in casting.

Following projects such as Don and Luck By Chance, and particularly after Rock On, she established herself as a casting director for major productions, later working on films and series including The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Made in Heaven and Sam Bahadur other contemporary projects.

She has also contributed to international productions, including Life of Pi and The Reluctant Fundamentalist.
