Aparna Kumar Ahuja is the EVP & Head of Corporate Brand & Communications at Jindal Steel, where she leads the company’s brand, reputation, and strategic communications agenda. With over three decades of experience, she brings expertise in business strategy, reputation management, marketing communications, crisis preparedness, and stakeholder engagement, playing a key role in shaping a company’s narrative and growth.


Drawn to public relations early on for its blend of creativity, strategy, and relationships, Ahuja has built a strong track record across both agency and corporate roles, leading brand communications, reputation management, and growth initiatives across sectors. She has worked with organisations such as Shell, Weber Shandwick, PR Pundit, and Britannica India, where she played key roles in shaping brand narratives and driving strategic communications.


Beyond her corporate roles, Ahuja has been deeply invested in mentoring and ecosystem building. Prior to joining Jindal Steel, she spent over a decade as a mentor with Start Up!—an incubator, accelerator, and leadership springboard for social entrepreneurs—where she shared her insights, pragmatism, and future-focused thinking. She has also contributed to initiatives such as Ashoka’s Livelihoods Impact Accelerator and the Promise Foundation’s Mentor Venture, supporting founders in shaping and articulating their vision to drive meaningful impact and scale.
