Siddharth Diwan ISC is an Indian cinematographer celebrated for his distinctive visual storytelling across feature films, short films, and advertising. Known for his meticulous approach to lighting and composition, Siddharth blends realism with stylised elements to create immersive visuals that connect with audiences.


A graduate of the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, he began his career in wildlife cinematography before moving to Mumbai, where he progressed from electrician to camera assistant under renowned filmmakers including Wes Anderson, Tarsem Singh, and Albert Brooks.


In advertising, Siddharth has shaped the visual identity of campaigns for leading brands, including Tanishq – The Interview, MuscleBlaze – Ziddi Hoon Mein, MakeMyTrip Taxi featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, Assam Tourism, OLX – Snoring Husband and Naughty Kid, and Coca-Cola with Deepika Padukone & Farhan Akhtar, among many others. His work demonstrates a strong balance between performance-driven storytelling and cinematic precision, making him a sought-after collaborator in the commercial space.


On the cinematic front, Siddharth made his feature film debut with Peddlers (2012), which premiered at Cannes Critics’ Week, followed by Titli (2014) at Un Certain Regard, and Lunchbox (2013), where he served as additional cinematographer. He gained widespread recognition for Queen (2014), earning the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography. His work on Bulbbul (2020), a Netflix original, won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Cinematography, and his short film Mono No Aware (2019) received the Best Cinematography award at the 70th National Film Awards in the Non-Feature Film category.


Siddharth’s body of work spans both advertising and cinema, showcasing a refined visual language that elevates brand narratives while delivering compelling, story-driven imagery.
