Paul Hardcastle

Considered one of the most renowned commercial editors worldwide, Hardcastle is a founding member and editor/partner at Trim London, where he continues to contribute to UK-based projects. Throughout his career, Hardcastle's exceptional editing skills have garnered him the prestigious title of shots Editor of the Year on three occasions, consecutively from 2011 to 2017. He has also been a finalist for this esteemed award nine times. His talent has been widely recognized, resulting in numerous accolades from renowned industry shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD Pencils, British Arrows, and CLIOs.


Hardcastle has established a strong collaborative relationship with director Adam Berg, and together, they achieved groundbreaking success with the Philips' The Carousel integrated campaign in 2009. This innovative film was hailed as a technical masterpiece and became one of the first online advertisements to receive the prestigious Cannes Lions Grand Prix, the highest honor at the festival. This groundbreaking work set the stage for the subsequent rise of online advertising over the following decade.


Notably, Hardcastle has also edited highly visible global advertisements for Apple in collaboration with TBWA\Media Arts Lab. His work includes the critically acclaimed AirPods Bounce commercial, directed by Oscar Hudson, which garnered widespread acclaim. He has also collaborated with directors Sam Brown and Derek Cianfrance, delivering genre-defining work for Apple.


With his exceptional editing skills and a portfolio of remarkable projects, Hardcastle continues to make a significant impact in the world of commercial editing, pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional storytelling.
