François Rousselet


Francois Rousselet is widely recognized as one of the most innovative and imaginative figures in the field of music videos and commercials at present. His filmmaking style is characterized by a visually striking and graphic approach that combines intellect with unrestrained creativity. With meticulous attention to detail, vibrant colors, and a bold attitude, his stylish films skillfully incorporate references to popular culture. Each of his works is a source of inspiration and an exploration of new artistic territory, defying categorization.


Francois embarked on his music video career in 2007, creating promotional videos for renowned French electro label Ed Banger Records, collaborating with artists such as Justice and Kavinsky, among others. Since then, he has partnered with some of the industry's top musical talents, including Kanye West, Madonna, Depeche Mode, and Jack White. His collaborations have earned him prestigious awards, including MTV Awards and World Music Awards across continents. Notably, he received two D&AD Awards for his work on Iggy Azalea's "Work" video and Audio Bully's "Only Man." Additionally, he directed the Blaxploitation-inspired music video for Snoop Dogg and Pharrell's "So Many Pros."


While Francois continues to create cutting-edge music videos that push boundaries, he also channels his creativity into the realm of commercials. He has collaborated with notable brands such as Heineken, Nike, Diesel, Jean Paul Gaultier, BBC Radio, Toyota, and Lynx AXE. In the previous year, he reunited with Snoop Dogg for Just Eat's advertisement titled "Did Somebody Say," produced by McCann. This spot was recognized as one of the top 20 ads of 2020 by the APA and received two Clio Awards.
