Swaroop Kumar is a director at Nirvana Films, an award-winning advertising film production company based in Mumbai.


With a background in theatre and copywriting, Swaroop's storytelling journey began early. He honed his craft under the mentorship of Prakash Varma, working as an assistant director before stepping into the director’s role.


Known for his keen eye for detail and a unique ability to find beauty in the mundane, Swaroop brings a fresh perspective to every project. His work often emphasises human connections, infusing narratives with subtle humour and emotional depth. Drawing on his extensive experience with industry veterans, he approaches each film with a blend of creativity and technical expertise.


In 2025, Swaroop was honoured with the Young Director of the Year (Under 30) award at the Good Ads Matter Awards for his film Red Taxi.


Some of his notable work includes Springboard – Deekshit, Vaibhav, and Shruthi, Red Taxi, among others.
