Sonal Chhajerh serves as one of the National Creative Directors at Leo Burnett India. Alongside Pravin Sutar, she co-leads the agency’s national creative direction under the guidance of Chief Creative Officer Rajdeepak Das.


With a global footprint spanning India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and South Africa, Sonal brings a diversified cultural sensibility to her craft. A key leader at Leo Burnett Mumbai, she champions creativity that delivers both business growth and societal impact.


Her most celebrated contribution is the P&G Whisper “Missing Chapter” campaign, which dismantled menstrual stigma and led to the inclusion of menstruation education in India’s official school curriculum. The campaign swept global awards—including Grand Prix at Cannes Lions (Sustainable Development Goals ’22), Global Grand Effie ’23, One Show, Clio, D&AD, Spikes Asia, and Epica—and was ranked the second-most effective campaign worldwide by WARC.


Sonal is also a revered mentor and industry voice. She judges creative excellence as part of the One Show Film & Video jury (2025). She advocates for embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) as default thinking in creative processes, not as standalone programs. She has emphasized the importance of creativity that solves real-world problems—a philosophy aligned with Leo’s “Humankind” strategy.


A graduate in Economics with a passion for writing, Sonal’s strategic creativity is consistently informed by empathy, cultural insight, and the power of storytelling.
