Ryan Mendonca is an Ad Film Director at Bang Bang Mediacorp, Mumbai, known for bringing humour and wit into his storytelling while maintaining a sharp, modern visual aesthetic.


He began his career at Ogilvy, Mumbai, spending a decade shaping campaigns for Cadbury, Unilever, Kodak, BCCI, and Taj Hotels, before moving to MTV India, where he headed the creative department and discovered his passion for directing.


Ryan’s campaign for YouTube India – ‘From Ganji to GenZ’ received widespread acclaim, winning in the Film Craft category for Costume, Hair & Makeup at the Good Ads Matter Awards 2025. Over the years, his work has also been recognised at Cannes Lions, One Show, Young Guns, Spikes Asia, LIA, and several other prestigious advertising forums.


His portfolio spans some of India’s commercials, including YouTube ‘Bald Witch’, Flipkart’s “Sa-Sa-Le-Le” and GOAT Sale, Cadbury Gems - Opera, Britannia Nutrichoice ‘Office’, as well as campaigns for Amazon, McDonald's, Mondelez, Nestlé, ITC, Perfetti Van Malle, GoDaddy ft. M.S. Dhoni, Smallcase, Britannia 50-50, and Cadbury Gems.


Renowned for his television commercial work, Ryan continues to balance sharp visual craft with relatable, witty storytelling, making him one of the distinctive voices in contemporary Indian advertising.
