Ravi Udyawar

Based in Mumbai

Ravi Udyawar, an Ad-film Director and Founder of Ravi Udyawar Films, is a gold medalist from the JJ School of Arts in Mumbai.

Ravi began his journey as an Ad-Film Director with a deep-rooted passion for films dating back to his childhood spent watching black and white films on Doordarshan. He felt an undeniable connection to the lens from an early age.

At 24, Ravi gained recognition for filming the video for Silk Route's "Dooba Dooba Rehta Hoon," which became the love anthem of the aughts and the first-ever underwater video shot in India.

Starting his career as a painter and illustrator, Ravi worked at advertising agencies and designed graphics for television channels like Channel V and MTV before venturing into ad filmmaking.

Longing to make his feature film debut, Ravi achieved this milestone with the 2017 film "Mom," starring Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, followed by the upcoming "Yudhra." As a filmmaker, Ravi Udyawar finds it incredibly exciting to capture emotional conflicts within relationships with purity.

Some of Ravi's notable works include commercials for Parachute featuring 'World's Best Hair' and Asian Paints featuring Deepika Padukone, as well as campaigns for Hero 'Unleash the Hero Within' and Hero Maestro 'Kal ke saath chal’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor.
