Monica G Gambhir is a Mumbai-based ad film director and the co-founder of Cutaway Films, a production company founded in 2013.

With over 16 years of experience working across London, Dubai, and Mumbai, Monica has built a body of work that reflects a rich blend of visual sensibility and deep cultural awareness. Her collaborations with renowned producers across various formats have helped shape her distinctive directorial voice. Known for her sharp eye for detail, she brings a unique perspective to each film she directs.

Her work often explores human emotion with depth and nuance, creating memorable visual narratives.

Some of Monica’s well-recognised projects include her direction of the “Har Ghar Mein Star” campaign for Star Cement featuring Bhaichung Bhutia and Mirabai Chanu. These films demonstrate her ability to blend emotion and storytelling with a compelling visual style. In 2024, Monica's contributions to the advertising industry were further acknowledged when she was selected to be part of the Film Craft Jury at Spikes Asia and as the head judge for the Casting, Production Design, and Styling for Shots Awards Asia Pacific 2025.
