Jonaki Bhattacharya is a production designer and creative producer whose work spans art films, brand campaigns, and visual storytelling rooted in nuanced cultural textures. Educated in design and deeply influenced by fine art and narrative imagery, she has shaped the aesthetic landscapes of partner Aditya Vikram Sengupta’s films.
Her cinematic contributions include Asha Jaoar Majhe (Labour of Love), Jonaki (2018), and Once Upon a Time in Calcutta (2021). Each of these films premiered at major international festivals—Labour of Love at Venice Days, Jonaki at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and Once Upon a Time in Calcutta in Venice’s Orizzonti section
Her brand collaborations feature visually resonant campaigns for OnePlus (Find Your Dhun), HUL’s Lifebuoy Durga Pujo, and Fortune Food (with Sourav Ganguly). Working closely with Chrome Pictures, Jonaki has brought commercial and artistic precision to every frame.
As co-founder of the production company For Films, Jonaki plays a key role in bringing these emotionally grounded, visually bold narratives to life. Her aesthetic is defined by emotional restraint and layered storytelling—infusing nostalgia, atmosphere, and poetic minimalism into her environments.
