Dan Jackson has established himself as a prominent figure in the fields of fashion editorial and advertising since the late 2000s. He is widely recognized for his ability to incorporate the language of classical portraiture into fashion photography. Jackson's work stands out for its versatility, showcasing his skill in directing subjects in minimal studio environments as well as capturing captivating moments on dramatic location sets.


His collaborations with Acne Paper have garnered acclaim for their exploration of choreography and human gestures within the photographic medium. In 2018, Jackson contributed to the exhibition VOID at Red Hook Labs, an initiative by 1 Granary that showcased the work of emerging fashion designers through the lens of internationally acclaimed photographers. His work was also featured in The Eye of the Beholder exhibition at 80WSE Gallery, which delved into the aesthetics of the eye and the pursuit of ideal beauty spanning over a century.


Jackson has created both still and motion advertising campaigns for notable brands such as Armani Fragrances, Clarins, Clinique, Dior, Prabal Gurung, Calvin Klein Fashion, Calvin Klein Cosmetics, Calvin Klein Fragrances, Alexander Wang, Gap, H&M, Helmut Lang, Hogan, J Mendel, Nike, Revlon, and Tiffany & Co.


His editorial work, including lead features and iconic cover images, has been showcased in esteemed magazines like AnOther, Dazed & Confused, Harper's Bazaar, i-D, The Last Magazine, Love, Lui, Vogue China, Vogue Germany, British Vogue, and WSJ magazine.
