Chinmay Jayraj Raut is a Group Creative Director – Art at Ogilvy Mumbai, a role he has held since mid-2021. He directs the visual craft across the agency’s marquee campaigns. Before this, he advanced through roles such as Senior Creative Director – Art (2019–2021) and Creative Director – Art (2018–2019) at the same agency.
His creative career spans nearly two decades, having previously held art leadership positions at reputed agencies including TBWA\India, BBDO India, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, and Think WhyNot, where he started his journey as an Art Director in 2004.
Chinmay’s leadership on the deeply human-centered Cadbury Dairy Milk – Thank You campaign, drove it to win the Grand Prix at Effies 2021, along with multiple Silver and Bronze awards. The campaign was further recognized globally with Grand Prix at Mondelez Global Marketing Excellence Awards, reaffirming its impact. Memory Karaoke, a groundbreaking experiential-audio project that explored memory and aging, won Bronze at One Show Asia 2022, Silver & Bronze at Clio Awards 2022, and Bronze at London International Awards 2022. Even #SnapCounsellors: A social-first crisis intervention campaign on Snapchat that received multiple recognitions—Cannes Lions Finalist, APAC Effies Silver (2017), Tangram Awards, D&AD, Spikes, and was featured in “The Work.”
Chinmay was also ranked #36 Creative in India and #399 in Asia on the Asia Creative Ranking in 2017. Chinmay describes himself as “a creative mind obsessed with design that has purpose.” He focuses on turning brave ideas into cultural impact and business results, stating, “If it doesn’t have a purpose, it’s not design. Push boundaries. Impact is better than awards.”
