Benedict is an Emmy nominated and BAFTA award winning DoP working on high-profile features, commercials and TV projects.
In the early stages of his career, Spence ventured into factual entertainment, contributing to the production of various programs for esteemed broadcasters like BBC, MTV, and Sky. He showcased his talent in music videos for renowned artists such as Beth Ditto and Leona Lewis, and lent his skills to TV commercials for clients like Sony, Carphone Warehouse, and Asda. Notably, he also served as steadicam operator on The Inbetweeners Movie and assumed the role of camera supervisor on Sky Living's The Face with Naomi Campbell.
Spence's expertise as a cinematographer was evident in The Blue Door, a BAFTA-nominated Best British Short in 2019. Additionally, he made significant contributions to all five episodes of the BAFTA award-winning series In My Skin, solidifying his reputation as a highly talented and accomplished cinematographer.
