Atul Kattukaran is a Partner and Director at First December Films, a Mumbai-based production company.


He holds a B.Com degree and entered the field of filmmaking without any formal background in the industry. Over the years, he has been recognised with multiple international honours, including Cannes Lions in 2014, 2016, and 2017 (as noted on the 1st December Films website).


Known for crafting commercials that spark conversations, his work includes campaigns such as Nike – Make Every Yard Count, Beauty Tips by Reshma, MuscleBlaze – Whey for India, HRX – Turn It Up featuring Hrithik Roshan, BBC Earth, Performax x Jasprit Bumrah: Unstoppable Spirit, and Facebook – Roar Together, among others.


He has collaborated with brands including Nike, Reebok, Google Pixel, Levi’s, MuscleBlaze, BookMyShow, IGP, and KFC.


His film Nike – Make Every Yard Count won over 50 international awards, including 7 Cannes Lions, 3 One Show Gold Pencils, and 6 D&AD Pencils in 2015, making it one of India’s most awarded advertising films.
