Ashu Mhatre currently serves as the Executive Creative Director at HavasCX Group India, where he leads creative teams in crafting impactful campaigns across digital, TV, and print platforms.


With over 14 years of advertising experience, Ashu has helmed creative work for a diverse mix of brands such as Tata Cliq Luxury, Netmeds (Har Ghar Mein Mahi, Har Ghar Mein Netmeds), ACC Cement, Saffola Oats, Nirvana Jewellery, and JBL Wave—showcasing his versatility across industries including luxury, healthcare, and FMCG.


One of his notable recent projects is the Bandhan Life campaign, which shifted the narrative around life insurance with relatable, culturally resonant humour. Ashu describes his creative approach playfully: “There are three levels of humour—smart, dry, absurd. And I know how to land all of them. I also know how to make you cry. . . creativity doesn’t live in silos.
