Afshan, a Director at Not Bad Films, a Mumbai-based production company, comes from a creatively esteemed lineage, being part of the family of international sensation Padma Bhushan Zakir Hussain and Ustad Allah Rakha Khan.


Her professional journey began by assisting renowned figures like Bruno Aveillan (QUAD - Paris) and Kunal Kapoor (Adfilmwallas, Mumbai) for a span of 8 years. Later, she served as an associate director to Shashanka Chaturvedi and formerly worked with Good Morning Films.


Afshan's distinct visual and narrative style, which seamlessly blends international standards with deep-rooted Indian influences, is a testament to her upbringing surrounded by music and arts.


Some of her notable works include, Tasva featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Ananya Pandey, Bajaj Pulsar M160, Amazon's 'Raksha Bandhan', Bajaj Chetak's 'Liveproof', Khimji Jewellers' 'Tyohaar Roshniyon Ka', and more.
