Vishal Sinha is a Mumbai-based cinematographer with over 34 years of experience across advertising, feature films, short films, music videos, and promos. Having shot more than 6,000 commercials, over 500 songs, 18 feature films, and 10 short films, he has built a body of work that spans a wide range of formats and genres.

Known for his versatile visual approach and strong storytelling sensibility, Vishal has shaped the look of numerous advertising campaigns and feature films, balancing scale, emotion, and craft across projects.

In advertising, he has collaborated with brands such as Lays, Flipkart, Coca-Cola, Airtel, Idea, and OLX, creating campaigns recognised for their visual clarity and narrative focus.

Vishal made his debut as an independent cinematographer with Bhoot (2003), directed by Ram Gopal Varma, and later served as camera operator on Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005), directed by Ketan Mehta. His film credits include Ab Tak Chhappan (2004), Bhoot (2003), Darna Mana Hai (2003), and Raanjhanaa (2013). More recent projects include Phillauri (2017), Chup: Revenge of the Artist (2022), Ghoomer (2023), and Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba (2024).

Throughout his career, Vishal has continued to work across both advertising and cinema, bringing the same commitment to visual storytelling to each medium.
