Varun Shah is the Managing Partner and Head of India at Prodigious and Content Factory, the two specialised production verticals of Publicis Groupe. In his role, he has spearheaded projects across automotive, beauty, financial services, and food, while building a roster of over 130 Indian and international directors.
Previously, Varun was the Executive Producer at Dharma 2.0, the branded content division of Dharma Productions, where he oversaw campaigns for brands like D’Décor, Star Sports, JIO, and Malabar Gold and Diamonds. He also partnered at Love & Faith, collaborating with Director Milind Dhaimade on campaigns for Pepsi, YUM Restaurants, Jubilant Foods, and Bharati AXA Insurance.
His notable work includes Airtel’s “Kapil Dev’s - 175 REPLAYED” (winner of a Gold Lion at Cannes 2023), campaigns for Acko with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, Flipkart’s Minutes, Bridgestone’s The Most Comfortable Seat, and Spotify with Anil Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar.
Beyond advertising, Varun produced the independent feature Tu Hai Mera Sunday, which earned acclaim at global film festivals, and the short film Waterbaby, which won the 65th National Film Award for Best Debut of a Director.
A graduate of the New York Film Academy, Varun continues to make impactful contributions to Indian filmmaking and branded storytelling.
