Varun Shah

Varun Shah, is the Managing Partner and Head for India at Prodigious and Content Factory the two specialised production verticals of the Publicis Groupe.

In the past year, Varun has spearheaded projects for some of India's leading brands, curating branded content spanning various sectors such as automotive, beauty, financial services, and food. Notably, Prodigious India boasts a roster of over 130 Indian and international directors, reflecting Varun's commitment to quality and diversity in production.

Previously, Varun served as Executive Producer at Dharma 2.0, the branded content division of Dharma Productions, where he contributed to noteworthy campaigns for brands like D'décor, Star Sports, JIO, and Malabar Gold and Diamonds. Dharma 2.0 is distinguished by its stellar lineup of directors, including industry stalwarts like Karan Johar, Shakun Batra, and Farah Khan.

Prior to his role at Dharma 2.0, Varun was a Producer and partner at Love & Faith, a renowned ad-film production house where he collaborated with Director Milind Dhaimade on campaigns for Pepsi, YUM Restaurants, Jubilant Foods, and Bharati AXA Insurance, among others.

Varun's production prowess extends beyond branded content, as evidenced by his work on the independent feature film 'Tu Hai Mera Sunday,' which received critical acclaim and accolades at prestigious film festivals worldwide. Additionally, his short film 'Waterbaby' garnered widespread recognition, including the esteemed 65th National Film Award for Best Debut of a Director in India.

With a formal education in film from the New York Film Academy, Varun's journey has come full circle as he continues to make significant contributions to the Indian filmmaking landscape.
