He began with the Tamil film Adharmam (1994) and went on to shoot notable titles such as Main Hoon Na (2004), Anniyan (2005)—for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography—Om Shanti Om (2007), Raavan (2010), Raavanan (2010), Karthik Calling Karthik (2010), Eeram (2009), Kadal (2013), Lingaa (2014), Premam (2015), Kaaviyathalaivan (2014), and Saaho (2019), among others. His repertoire spans Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu cinema, balancing mainstream blockbusters with visually distinctive regional films.
