Tista Sen is the founder of TistaThinks—an independent creative agency based in India.
Tista started her career in 2001, at Wunderman Thompson South Asia, where she stayed for the following two decades, elevating both the agency as well as well as her own portfolio. In 2023, she joined Ladyfinger, India's first all-women agency launched by Rediffusion Brand Solutions, as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Creative Officer, before finally starting her own venture. Before her segue into the realm of advertising, however, Tista was already working in the ad film production department at Whitelight Productions
Over the years, Tista has built and led brand communication for an extensive portfolio of global brands including Unilever, Nestlé, Cadbury, GlaxoSmithKline, ITC, Godrej, Aditya Birla, Reliance, Diageo, Standard Chartered, Philips, Shoppers Stop, AMFI, and Johnson & Johnson—across categories ranging from beauty, fashion, and health to financial services, appliances, and media.
Ranked among the 20 most creative people in Asia and five-time Impact “50 Most Powerful Women in Advertising and Marketing”, Tista’s work has won numerous international accolades including Cannes Lions, Clio, D&AD, One Show, Spikes Asia (including the Grand Prix), and AdFest, with recent recognition for her award-winning campaign Lost Daughters in 2022. She has served on the juries of festivals such as Good Ads Matter Awards, Cannes, D&AD, Clio, LIA, Gerety Awards, Spikes, The New York Festival, and was the only Asian on the inaugural Cannes Glass Lion Jury, honouring gender diversity in communication.
Tista is also the co-founder of The Collective, a platform advocating against gender discrimination and inequality in the industry. Beyond advertising, she is a passionate storyteller and the only Indian to be published in the Modern Love column of The New York Times.
A student of English Literature and life, Tista believes in the power of ideas that cut across geographies and cultures. Known for her ability to simplify and humanise communication, she continues to shape narratives that not only spark meaningful conversation but also evoke consequential action.
