Tapas Relia is a distinguished music composer and producer, celebrated for his iconic jingles and compositions that have become anthems in Indian advertising. His journey began in the corporate and radio sectors, where he honed his skills before achieving widespread recognition.

Born in Surat, Gujarat, Relia moved to Mumbai in 1996 to pursue a career in music. He studied Western classical music, specializing in piano, and completed seven grades at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. He furthered his education by studying Composing for Film and Multimedia at New York University in 2000.

His breakthrough came with the legendary Close-Up toothpaste jingle, "Kya Aap Close-Up Karte Hain," which remains one of India's most memorable advertising tunes. Following this success, Relia composed numerous jingles for major brands, including Amaron Batteries, Domino's Pizza's "Pizza Aaye Free" campaign, Hero Honda's 2010 campaign, and the IPL Mumbai Indians Anthem.

Beyond advertising, Relia has made significant contributions to Bollywood. He composed the music for Hanuman (2005), India's first major commercial animation film, and its sequel Return of Hanuman (2007), directed by Anurag Kashyap. His score for Lakshmi (2014), directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, was critically acclaimed. Relia's versatility extends to composing for television shows like Mahabharata (2013), Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 3, Bigg Boss, and MasterChef India.
