Ruchira Jaitly is the Chief Marketing Officer at Diageo India, based in Gurgaon, and brings over 23 years of experience spanning strategy, sales, marketing, innovation, and business building. She leads marketing and innovation for Diageo India’s portfolio of beverage brands and is part of the company’s Executive Committee. Over the course of her career, she has worked across some of the world’s leading FMCG and consumer-facing organizations, with a strong focus on in-market consumer and customer engagement, as well as building and scaling impactful businesses.
She studied marketing at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and began her career at Unilever India as a management trainee. She went on to hold senior marketing roles at PepsiCo India, where she was instrumental in building iconic brands such as Kurkure and Mountain Dew, and led large-scale, award-winning campaigns like Pepsi IPL.
She later joined HMD Global, where she led product portfolio planning, marketing, and go-to-market strategy for Nokia devices in India, driving omnichannel growth and digital transformation. At DSM, she served as Director – Strategy and Nutrition Challenges, where she aimed at addressing malnutrition in India. She joined Diageo India as Executive Vice President and has since progressed to her current role as CMO, continuing to shape brand and business growth at scale.
Beyond her corporate role, Ruchira Jaitly actively contributes to advancing women’s leadership as a member of the CII National Committee on Women Empowerment—which works with industry to strengthen women’s participation in the economic sphere and community affairs—and the Indian Women Network, while also mentoring emerging leaders at the Vedica Women’s Alliance.
