Rohan Shrestha is a photographer whose career spans over 13 years across genres including celebrity, advertising, fine art, travel, and underwater photography. A graduate in filmmaking and cinematography from the New York Film Academy, he has built a distinct identity in photography, balancing high-profile commercial assignments with personal, purpose-driven projects.
He has worked with some of the most recognized global and Indian personalities—including Lionel Messi, Kevin Hart, Amitabh Bachchan, Virat Kohli, and Shobhita Dhulipala—and delivered campaigns for brands like Pepsi, L’Oréal, Dior, Puma, VIVO, Swiss Tourism, Yas Island, Aldar, and Byju’s. His editorial work features on the covers of Travel+Leisure, Bazaar, Lifestyle Asia, Hello, and Exhibit.
Rohan’s work often transcends conventional glamour photography. His creative collaborations include Home Court, a coffee table book with the NBA; the Hanami photo series for Diesel shot in Japan; and his underwater photo story on Chuuk Lagoon in Micronesia. He is also known for Acropora by Kresha Bajaj and other projects that reflect his command of underwater and concept-led photography.
Beyond commercial assignments, Rohan has used his platform for advocacy and storytelling. He worked with the Cancer Patient Awareness Association and documented the 2015 Nepal earthquakes while actively assisting with relief work—his photography from this time was featured in HuffPost.
Under his pseudonym Nomad Within, Rohan explores fine art and travel photography, offering a more introspective and experimental view of his craft. A certified scuba diver and avid sports enthusiast, he also co-hosts podcasts for the NBA and MLB, expanding his narrative storytelling into audio formats.
