Ricardos Vaz is a copywriter and the Senior Creative Director at Ogilvy—with an experience of about 15 years in the Indian advertising landscape.
Ricardos first started his career in 2011, as a copywriter at Synapse Marketing Consultancy, later moving on to Asymmetrique Communications in the same capacity. In 2015, he started his seven-year-long stint at Enormous, where he served in various creative capacities—where he worked with brands like Baskin Robbins, Digibank, Baskin Robbins, Keys Hotels, Reliance Health Insurance, and Winkies, and won several national awards for his work. In 2022, he briefly joined Leo Burnett as the Senior Creative Director, before moving on to Ogilvy.
Over the course of his career, although Ricardos has familiarised himself with the dynamics of the industry and the pulse of creativity, he nonetheless bends the rules of storytelling to push boundaries and break stereotypes. Be it through wit or more serious emotions, his command over his vision is unmissable.
Among his notable work are St. Jude ChildCare Cetres 'The Impossible Choice' and 'Renu Vs. the City', Savlon 'Handwash Legend', Taj Mahal Tea 'Chai Bansuri' and 'Megh Santoor', as well as ITC Nimyle 'Farsh Par Bachpan'.
At the Good Ads Matter Awards, India '25, 'The Impossible Choice' won 2 Golds and 3 Silvers. Ricardo has also won several accolades at festivals like Cannes Lions, Clio, D&AD, and LIA.
