Ram Sampath is a celebrated Indian composer, music producer, and vocalist celebrated for his versatility and genre-blending brilliance. Beginning with jingle composition in the Mumbai advertising world, he's known for his meticulous harmony and musicality, consistently crafting memorable sonic signatures.

From early pop sensations like Shaan's “Tanha Dil” (2000), Ram transitioned to nuanced and edgy feature films including Khakee (2004), cult blockbuster Delhi Belly (2011), neo-noir Talaash (2012), and mainstream successes like Raees and Fukrey.

On television, he left an indelible mark by composing the theme and 24 original songs for Aamir Khan’s social-music series Satyamev Jayate, and collaborated on MTV Coke Studio and Coke Studio MTV (2013–14).

In advertising, Ram has crafted iconic, emotionally resonant campaigns for brands like Airtel, Docomo, Thums Up, Pepsi, The Times of India, Surf Excel, Nike, Amazon, Closeup, Tata Safari Dicor, and many more.

His creative depth also extends to independent music—fronting the band Colourblind, and producing for artists including Sona Mohapatra, and bands like INXS and Justin Timberlake.

Ram's musical approach is deeply rooted in Indian classical and folk traditions, yet sophisticated and complex enough to embrace rock, pop, funk, and electronic elements—a true musical schizophrenic who adapts effortlessly across styles.
