Prasoon, the youngest of nine siblings, was raised in an artistic household where music, poetry, drama, and folklore were integral to daily life. He began his career as a professional theatre director in high school and later studied Graphic Design and Visual Communication at the National Institute of Design in India.
His advertising career started at Lowe (then Lintas) as a Creative Director, but he transitioned to directing films after a client requested he direct his own script. His debut film won him several awards at the Indian Advertising Filmmaker's Awards in 1995, and he went on to receive numerous other accolades including Clios, Cannes Lions, and New York Festivals.
Currently, Prasoon Pandey is the director of Corcoise Films, his own production house venture located in Mumbai.
