Pooja Gupte is a cinematographer and producer who studied Cinematography at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata. In 2012, she was selected as an Indian Cinematographer of Promise at the Berlinale Talent Campus in Germany and is a member of IMAGO's Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In 2019, she was invited to present her work in Stuttgart as part of the "Making of Indian Cinema" series at the Stuttgart Indian Film Festival.
Her debut as Director of Photography came with Crossing Bridges (2013), which went on to win the 61st National Film Award. She also produced the film through her production company, Easel Films. In 2018, she received the Best Cinematography Award at the AIFF for her work on Rukh (2017).
Among her notable projects is Brij Mohan Amar Rahe (2017), one of India's early Netflix Original films, directed by Nikhil Bhat. Her recent feature film work includes Panchak (2024), produced by Madhuri Dixit and Dr Sriram Nene, Silence 2 (2024), directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans and starring Manoj Bajpayee, Minimum (2024), shot across Belgrade and Brussels, and Logout (2024), starring Babil Khan.
Alongside feature films, Pooja has worked extensively on commercials, short films, and web series. Her short film Naam has been screened at more than 30 film festivals, reflecting her continued engagement with both independent and mainstream storytelling formats.
