Piyush Pandey


Piyush Pandey is an Indian advertising professional with over four decades of experience in the industry. He was recently elevated to the position of chairman, global creative. He began his career as a client servicing executive at Ogilvy in 1982, where he wrote his first-ever ad for Sunlight Detergent. After six years, he transitioned to the creative department and became known for his work on notable campaigns such as Luna Moped, Fevicol, Cadbury, and Asian Paints.


Ogilvy India consistently ranked as the No.1 agency for 12 consecutive years in the Agency Reckoner, an independent marketing and advertising survey conducted by The Economic Times and Brand Equity. He is also a recipient of the Padma Shri award in 2016.


In addition to his impressive track record at Ogilvy, Pandey was the first jury president from Asia for the Cannes Lions Festival, further cementing his reputation as a leading figure in the global advertising industry. He also served as a board member for Ogilvy Worldwide.


Pandey is known for his contributions to several notable ad campaigns in India, including the BJP 2014 election campaign with the famous slogan "achche din aane wale hain," the Polio ad campaign with Amitabh Bachchan, and various Fevicol and Fevikwik ad campaigns. He is also credited with creating the iconic "Googly Woogly Woosh" Ponds ad in 2010.With his extensive experience and notable contributions to the industry, Piyush Pandey is considered one of the most influential advertising professionals in India and beyond.
