Nirvair Singh Rai is an independent photographer, filmmaker, and curator from Punjab, currently based in Mumbai. His work moves fluidly across genres—consciously intersecting documentary, journalism, fashion, performance, nature, and wildlife—creating a practice that is as layered as it is dynamic.

A graduate of the South Asian Media Academy – Pathshala in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Nirvair began his career with assignments for Drik News Agency and National Geographic Traveller India, building a strong foundation in narrative-led visual storytelling. He later co-founded PIC Productions, expanding his work across both editorial and commercial platforms.

Over the years, Nirvair has collaborated with notable fashion houses and global brands including Jade x Lakmé Fashion, Sabyasachi, Nike, and NatGeo x Vivo. His editorial assignments have appeared in publications such as Elle India and Architectural Digest India. His directorial and photography work also includes campaigns for Zoya Jewels, Lifestyle, and Fizzy Goblet, featuring celebrities like Sonam Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Zeenat Aman.
