Neil Chowdhury and Zico Maitra are the Co-founders and Producers at Chalk & Cheese Films, where they bring together a sharp producing vision with a commitment to craft and storytelling.
As producers, they have built a reputation for delivering campaigns that are both creatively bold and culturally resonant. Their work spans across categories—fashion, lifestyle, tech, FMCG, and entertainment—producing acclaimed campaigns such as Google’s Shopping Mela, Durex India’s Explorers Wanted, Crunchyroll’s Wish Your World Was Anime? featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Tinder’s You Up?, Zomato’s Zomato, the Instagram Reels campaign, Bhima Jewellers’ Ages Like Love, Absolut’s Be an Absolut Ally, and 82ºE’s Feels Like Home.
Their projects have earned multiple accolades at the Good Ads Matter Awards 2025, including Gold and Silver wins in Film Craft for Animation, Direction, Production Design, and Cinematography.
Venturing beyond the commercial space, Neil and Zico made their feature film debut as co-producers with All We Imagine as Light, in partnership with French company Petit Chaos and other international collaborators. The film became the first Indian film in 30 years to compete in the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival, where it went on to win the Grand Prix—a landmark achievement for Indian independent cinema.
Over the years, as producers, they have partnered with brands such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, Tinder, Zomato, Unilever India, Samsung, Crunchyroll, Bhima Jewellers, and Budweiser, among others.
