Mohammed Rubais is a cinematographer whose work spans advertising campaigns and narrative storytelling. His visuals are characterised by clarity, emotional resonance, and a considered cinematic approach that supports both brand narratives and fictional worlds.
His advertising portfolio includes campaigns such as Boldcare – Serial and Teleshopping Ads, Flipkart – SASA Lele, Netflix x WWE – Fanmania, CRED Warner, Meesho featuring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, CRED Boyband, and CRED – Dravid and Bhidu Love, among others.
Rubais has also worked with brands including Fastrack Reflex Play+, Surf Excel, Nescafé, PhonePe (featuring Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt), UNI Cards, CRED Javelin (featuring Jim Sarbh), Vivo X100 Series, Adidas, and Meesho.
In long-form storytelling, he served as Director of Photography on Netflix’s historical thriller The Railway Men, a four-part miniseries that chronicles the efforts of railway workers during the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. He also served as the cinematographer for Alpha (2026), a Yash Raj Films spy-universe action thriller directed by Shiv Rawail and starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari.
Across both advertising and narrative formats, Rubais brings together cinematic craft and storytelling, making him a frequent collaborator for brands, production companies, and filmmakers.
Rubais served on the Good Ads Matter Awards Jury in 2025 as part of the Animation, VFX & AI Jury, and in 2026 as part of the Film Craft – VFX & Animation Jury.
