Lakhan Rathore is a Mumbai-based cinematographer with over a decade of experience in the film and advertising industry. He has worked across roles as Director of Photography, 2nd Unit DP, and Camera Operator on both national and international projects, building a portfolio that spans advertising and long-form storytelling.


In advertising, Lakhan’s work has been recognised at the Good Ads Matter Awards, where he was named Young Cinematographer of the Year (Under 30) for his film Star Cement 'Har Ghar Mein Star’ featuring Riyan Parag. The campaign went on to win five metals at the same awards.


His other commercial projects include Star Cement 'Har Ghar Mein Star’ featuring Lovelina Borgohain, ACC Cement – The Bridge, and campaigns for Tata Power Company Ltd., among others. His advertising style combines clarity with scale, blending strong narrative elements with a polished visual approach.


Alongside commercials, Lakhan has contributed to several notable long-format productions, including Poacher (2023) as 2nd Camera Operator, The Hunt for Veerappan (2023) as Additional Cinematographer, Adhura as 2nd Unit DOP, and Delhi Crime, where he worked as 2nd Unit DOP and B Camera Operator. His work has been showcased at leading international festivals such as Sundance, Tribeca, the South Asian International Film Festival in New York, the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, the Taipei Film Festival, and the Beijing International Film Festival. He was also part of the team behind Delhi Crime, which won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series in 2020.


Lakhan continues to work across advertising and cinematic projects, maintaining an approach that emphasises narrative focus, visual consistency, and adaptability across genres.
