Kopal is the Director and Founder of Superfly Films, a production company based in Mumbai.

At the outset of her career in advertising production, she entered a landscape with few female leadership figures, which compelled her to carve her own path. Today, as a director and entrepreneur, she channels her creative vision and business acumen towards empowering emerging women filmmakers while crafting narratives that resonate with authenticity.

In 2024, she was selected for the prestigious See It, Be It programme at Cannes Lions — an initiative designed to achieve equal gender representation among creative directors globally. Reflecting on her journey, Kopal continues to inspire through her resilience in navigating both external challenges and internal struggles.

An alumna of Welham Girls’ School, Kopal began her career with Shoojit Sircar at Red ICE in 2000, followed by Rising Sun Films (RSF). With more than two decades in the industry, she has established herself as a respected filmmaker, working her way from Assistant Director to Panel Director at RSF before founding Superfly Films.

Some of her best-known commercials include Urban Company’s Chotta Kaam?, Chotti Soch, and Chotti Baat; Tanishq’s Rivaah, Her Choice, Women’s Day – The Superwoman, and The Interview; Vivo’s #SwitchOff; and Licious’ Official, among many others.

Her body of work spans collaborations with brands such as Urban Company, Axis Bank, Tanishq, BYJU’s, HUL, Tata Sky, Flipkart, ICICI, Bajaj Finserv, Zivame, and CaratLane.
