Josy Paul

Josy Paul, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of BBDO India, is a prominent figure in Indian advertising. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in the Indian advertising industry.


Paul began his advertising career with JWT India in 1989 and has worked with several leading advertising agencies in India, including David India, which he set up as part of Ogilvy and WPP. He co-founded BBDO India in 2008 and has been instrumental in establishing it as one of the leading advertising agencies in the country.


In 2016, he was named Creative Agency Head of The Year by the IAA (Indian Advertising Association). Campaign Magazine awarded him 'Creative Person of the Year for India and South Asia' in 2012 and 2015. He is ranked among the 10 most influential people in Indian advertising - according to the nationwide survey conducted by The Economic Times. He is also among the most awarded creative people in India. In 2002, Josy won India’s first One Show Pencil. He and his team won the One Show Gold for Visa ‘Dream To Advance’. His work has since won numerous awards, including several Cannes Lions, and D&AD, among countless others.
