Together with Lisa Fedyszyn, he forms one of Australasia's most successful creative teams and ECDs. He was honored with the title of 'Creative Person Of The Year' in 2022. However, his proudest achievement is being part of the team that contributed to Special's victory as Campaign UK Global Creative Agency of the Year in 2021. With experience in the Australian, New Zealand, and North American markets, including Droga5 New York, DDB Aotearoa, Colenso BBDO, and now Special, Lisa and Jonathan have consistently produced high-caliber, multi-channel campaigns. Their outstanding work has earned them prestigious awards, including gold at Cannes, Best in Discipline and gold at One Show, and 18 pencils across 12 different clients at D&AD. They have also secured gold Effies, Webbys, 3 Best in Show at AXIS, and their Meddler campaign was recently ranked by WARC as the 3rd most effective campaign of the year.
Their shared passion for creating impactful work that makes a difference is evident in their portfolio. Notable projects include the "Most Entertaining Recruitment Film," which was also the most successful, for the New Zealand Police, resulting in the highest intake of female and representative recruits ever recorded. They have encouraged overseas New Zealanders to engage in their own election, resulting in a significant shift in parliamentary seats for the first time since 1938 and a 42% increase in overseas votes. Their collaboration with a man living with Motor Neurone Disease involved creating a digital timeline reflecting his deterioration to facilitate the sale of his unusable belongings. They have even tackled pay inequality by charging male politicians 10% more than women for their coffee, raising awareness of the issue. Additionally, they brought TV characters back from the dead in a TV show to engage New Zealand's under-insured population.
Through their exceptional creativity and commitment to making a positive impact, Jonathan and Lisa have established themselves as a remarkable creative team, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.
