Jitender Dabas

Jitender Dabas is the Chief Executive Officer at Cheil X, an independent full-service agency under Cheil SWA Group.

After graduating from IIT Delhi, Jitender started his professional career in 2000 as a Senior Account Planner at Draft FCB Ulka. Later, he served as the Group Head of Strategic Planning at Grey Worldwide, and as Executive Planning Director and Vice President at JWT.

Prior to his current stint which he undertook earlier in 2025, Jitender was in McCann Worldgroup for 14 years, serving at various executive roles such as Executive Vice President and Head of Strategy, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. During his tenure here, the agency rose to become #1 effective agency in India for five years between 2017 to 2024. The Delhi office achieved global recognition by becoming the world's most effective office according to WARC in 2019, while the agency secured the second position in Asia Pacific at the APAC Effies in 2024. Under his leadership as APAC Head of Effectiveness, McCann Worldgroup rose to become one of the top three most effective agency networks in Asia Pacific in 2024.

Jitender has worked with the likes of Dettol, Nestlé, Paytm, Incedible India, Air India, Coca-Cola, MasterCard, Flipkart, and Asian Paints.

As a keen observer of soceital trends, which relfects in his work as well, Jitender has been on the Juries of the Cannes Lions, and WARC Awards, and is the recipient of the WPP Atticus Award.
