Jay is an accomplished cinematographer with an impressive work history in the film and commercial industry. He graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Motion Pictures and Television, majoring in cinematography.
From 2008 to 2011, he was based in Los Angeles, USA, before relocating to Mumbai, India, where he has been residing since 2012.
Jay attained his breakthrough success in feature films through his insightful cinematography in Meghna Gulzar’s humanist spy drama, "Raazi." Subsequently, he extended his collaborative efforts to prominent films such as "Panga," "Sadak 2," "Jug Jug Jeeyo," and the latest venture, "Sam Bahadur."
Jay has worked with various brands, including Myntra End of Reason featuring Hrithik Roshan, Ocean One8 featuring Virat Kohli, Make My Trip featuring Alia Bhat, and Manyavar featuring Virat Kohli. He has also contributed his cinematography skills to the film industry, working on movies like A Gentleman, Bang Bang, and Asian Paints: Har Ghar Kuch Kehta hai.
