Divy Nidhi Sharma is an award-winning Indian screenwriter, dialogue writer, lyricist, poet, and storyteller whose work spans films, OTT, and television. Known for crafting authentic, emotionally resonant dialogue, he has contributed to some of the most widely watched and critically appreciated stories in recent years, including Laapataa Ladies, Heeramandi, Freedom at Midnight, Sitaare Zameen Par and the hugely popular television series Anupamaa.

Raised across villages and small towns in Western Uttar Pradesh, Divy brings a rare authenticity to stories rooted in the Indian heartland. A graduate of Aligarh Muslim University, he moved to Mumbai to pursue screenwriting and built his career across formats—often navigating early struggles and odd jobs before establishing himself as a distinctive voice in contemporary Hindi storytelling.

His writing blends humour, empathy, and lived-in realism, allowing everyday characters and landscapes to feel deeply human and universally relatable. He has also written lyrics for film soundtracks, including songs for Laapataa Ladies, and frequently performs poetry and storytelling on stage, bringing his words directly to audiences.
