With 532.1k streams across 144 countries on Spotify (2022), Dhruv Ghanekar's music is acknowledged and loved far and wide. In Coke Studio Season 4, which aired in 2015, Ghanekar gained recognition for his work as a composer.
Dhruv attended Musicians Institute in Los Angeles from 1997 to 1998. He was later awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, which he attended in 2003.
Upon his return to India, Dhruv resumed producing music for ad commercials and feature films. He also produced more than a dozen pop albums for indie-pop artists such as Mehnaz, Shiamak Davar, and Kailash Kher.
Dhruv teamed up with Ashutosh Phatak and formed Smoke Music Production which became a prominent figure in the indie music scene, with numerous film credits, commercial pop albums, and over 2,500 commercial scores within seven years. Their clients included major brands such as Absolut Vodka, BBC One, TATA, Reliance, Pepsi, Asian Paints, UNILEVER, Pidilite, and Mahindra and Mahindra.
He is best known for his music composition for the feature film 'Dhaakad' for which he was also featured on Rolling Stone India.
