Deepti Gupta ISC, IWCC is a Mumbai-based cinematographer and storyteller, with over 25+ years of experience across both filmmaking and advertising. A graduate of FTII Pune in Motion Picture Photography, she has a diverse portfolio that straddles fiction, documentary, and brand cinema.
Her notable film work includes Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd (2007), the internationally screened drama Fakir of Venice, and the feature-length documentary Shut Up Sona (2019), which premiered at MAMI and IFFR and won a Film Critics Guild Jury Special Mention for its gender-sensitive theme.
On the advertising front, Deepti has shot campaigns for brands including Vodafone, Himalaya, Domino’s, Hotstar, Uber, Hero Bikes, and Amazon.
Her work spans a wide range of formats, from TVCs to digital content, showcasing a refined ability to balance visual craft with commercial storytelling.
Deepti is also a founding member of the Indian Women Cinematographers Collective (IWCC), where she plays an active role in mentoring emerging talent and advocating for gender equity in cinematography.
Her ongoing creative journey includes Lal Pari Mastani, a feature-length music documentary that reflects her commitment to innovative visual narratives rooted in intimate storytelling.
