Established in 2004 and headquartered in Mumbai, Chrome Pictures has been in the Indian advertising landscape for over 21 years.
The production house has been involved in creating over 7,000 ad films, shot not only across India but also in international locations such as South Africa, Europe, the UK, the Middle East, China, New Zealand, and Singapore, to name a few.
With a niche in deeply rooted and nuanced Indian culture, combined with crisp, high-quality visuals and performance-driven storytelling, Chrome Pictures has created some of the most memorable and impactful campaigns over the years.
At the Good Ads Matter Awards 2025, Chrome Pictures bagged an impressive 17 metals across various categories, showcasing their dominance in the ad film space. Their work on Quaker Oats' “The Bowl of Growth” earned Golds in Film Craft, Direction – Narrative (Online), Direction – PSA Advertising, Cinematography – Narrative (Online), Writing for Advertising (Regional), Casting, Best Casting, and Editing – Narrative.
Their campaign for Adani Green Energy’s “Pehle Pankha Aayega, Phir Bijlee Aayegi” secured multiple wins including Golds for Best Ad (TV/Cinema), Direction – Narrative (TV/Cinema), Writing for Advertising (Hindi), and Casting – Best Performance (Male), along with Silvers in B2B Film and Direction – Humour (TV/Cinema).
Meanwhile, Cadbury’s “New Neighbour” earned accolades for Best Use of Humour in Writing and Casting – Best Performance (Female). Clinic Plus' “Aana Toh Beti Ban Ke Aana” won Silver in Writing for Advertising – Long Form (180 seconds and above), while Colgate’s “Strong Teeth” was awarded Silver for Music & Sound Design – Original Music Composition. Their campaign for Vi, “Be Someone’s We”, also earned a Silver for Direction under the Best Campaign of the Year category.
Some of Chrome Pictures’ most appreciated work includes campaigns for Google’s “Reunion”, Facebook’s “Pooja Didi – #MoreTogether”, Lifebuoy’s “Help a Child Reach 5”, Dove’s “#StopTheBeautyTest”, Spotify’s “There’s a Playlist For That Too”, Truecaller’s “Buri Nazar Wale Tera Call Laal”, Adani Group’s “Story of Suraj”, and Lifebuoy ft. Shah Rukh Khan.
Their brand portfolio spans global and Indian names including Cinthol, Diet Coke, DBS, Decor, Dell, Facebook, Clinic Plus, Adani, Cadbury, Quaker Oats, Colgate, Dettol, Docomo, Dove, Evo, Expedia, Flipkart, Google, Havells, Hero, Knorr, Kurkure, and Lays, among many others. Their advertising work has been recognised not just in India, but also internationally—at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, London International Festival, AdFest, the Abby Awards, D&AD, and several other platforms.
Expanding beyond commercials, Chrome Pictures made a successful transition into long-form storytelling. In 2018, they ventured into feature films with their debut production ‘Badhaai Ho’, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra. Directed by co-founder Amit Sharma, the film won 25 awards, including the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. In the OTT space, their recent production ‘Trial Period’, directed by co-founder Aleya Sen and starring Genelia Deshmukh and Manav Kaul.
