Chandan Arora is an editor and director whose career spans more than three decades across advertising, feature films, and television.
He began his career in 1990 as an assistant director before working as an assistant cameraman to Kishore Kapadia. He later joined Star Movies India as an Associate Producer, producing film-based programming, before transitioning into freelance editing and establishing himself as a feature film editor.
Chandan's early editorial collaborations with director Ram Gopal Varma on films such as Company (2002), Road (2002), and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (2001) brought him widespread recognition. For Company, he received both the Filmfare Award and the IIFA Award for Best Editing in 2003.
His editing credits include Mast (1999), Jungle (2000), Filhaal... (2002), Cheeni Kum (2007), Krrish 3 (2013), Fandry (2013), Ki & Ka (2016), Pad Man (2018), Mission Mangal (2019), Jawaani Jaaneman (2020), Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021), and Ved (2022), among others.
Alongside editing, Chandan has directed feature films including Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon (2003), Main, Meri Patni Aur Woh (2005), and Striker (2010), reflecting a career that spans both editorial and directorial roles.
