Archana Borhade, ISC, is a producer, director, cinematographer, and screenwriter whose work spans feature films, advertising, documentaries, and branded content. Originally trained as a software engineer, she transitioned into filmmaking and has since built a multidisciplinary career across both cinema and commercial storytelling.


Recognised as a Rising Star of Cinematography by American Cinematographer magazine, Archana was also the first female cinematographer to receive the Maharashtra State Award for Best Cinematography for the Marathi feature film Idak: The Goat. She is the co-writer, producer, and cinematographer of Karkhanisanchi Waari (Ashes on a Road Trip), which premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival.


Alongside her work in cinema, Archana has directed, shot, and produced campaigns, branded films, and documentaries for organisations and brands including PepsiCo, PayPal, CARE India, Singapore International Foundation, Our Better World, Ashoka Innovators for the Public, and Cochlear. Her work is often centred on human stories, social impact, and observational storytelling.


Working across feature films, advertising, and long-form content, Archana brings together expertise in producing, directing, cinematography, and screenwriting, allowing her to engage with projects from multiple creative perspectives.
