Andreas Brückl, based in Mumbai since 2017, is a highly esteemed Supervising Colorist and Visuals Consultant in India’s film and OTT industry. With over 20 years in post-production, he has graded more than 1,000 TVCs and become one of Asia’s most experienced DI colorists.
Brückl has profoundly influenced the visual palette of landmark Indian content, lending his expertise to Paatal Lok, Sacred Games 2, Delhi Crime 2, The Family Man, Mumbai Diaries, Shakuntala Devi, Choked, Breathe, Raat Akeli Hai, Lady of Heaven, Emergency, and others.
A technical pioneer, he introduced the ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) to Asia, enabling consistent, scalable color workflows. He also graded India’s first HDR Dolby Vision projects, setting a new benchmark for quality in the region.
In 2017, Andreas was awarded both Apollo Awards for Best Colorist (TVC and Film) in Asia. In 2020, his graded projects won 16 awards at the OTT Filmfare Awards.
Beyond his craft, he consults on visual pipelines, guiding production houses and OTT platforms on color workflows, grading strategies, and technical prerequisites during pre-production and execution.
Andreas also holds global leadership roles, serving as Creative Director and Head of Color at Genomedia Studios in Dubai, overseeing 4K HDR Dolby Vision productions and multi-format deliveries.
