Anand Bansal is a cinematographer with a distinctive visual voice that seamlessly bridges independent cinema and branded storytelling.


Over the years, he has shot compelling campaigns for brands such as Franklin Templeton – “Change the Soch”, Tanishq – Father’s Day, Byju’s – #LearnUnlearnRelearn, PineLabs, Vivo, and Harley Davidson – Freedom Stories of India, among others.


His work in branded content is marked by a rare ability to distil human emotion into striking visuals, giving brands a voice that feels both cinematic and personal.


Alongside his advertising career, Anand has made significant contributions to independent cinema and streaming. His work on the Academy Award–winning documentary short The Elephant Whisperers (2023) gained him global recognition, while his independent films Gamak Ghar and Dhuin have screened at prestigious venues like the Museum of Modern Art, New York. On the streaming front, his cinematography for Gullak Season 2 and The Mirror (Lust Stories 2) for Netflix showcased his versatility across narrative and social storytelling.


A Whistling Woods International alumnus, Anand emphasises truthful cinematography, bringing the same sensitivity and craft whether he’s shaping the visual identity of a global brand or telling a deeply personal story.
