Anaita Shroff Adajania is a stylist, costume designer, creative consultant, and actress.

Anaita’s career began in 1996 as Assistant Fashion Editor at Elle India upon its launch in the country, where she styled the magazine’s first cover. She later worked with L’Officiel India before joining Vogue India, steadily rising to become its Fashion Director. Along the way, she founded her own styling company, Style Cell, which continues to operate under her vision.

Raised in a family connected to bespoke tailoring, Anaita originally pursued a degree in political science before carving out her own path in fashion without formal training.

Her styling work extends beyond the pages of magazines. Anaita has created iconic looks for Bollywood feature films including Dhoom, Dhoom 2, Dhoom 3, Being Cyrus, Love Aaj Kal, and Cocktail. She has collaborated with the likes of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Bipasha Basu, John Abraham, Esha Deol, Katrina Kaif, and has been the exclusive stylist for Deepika Padukone. Her work has also graced global personalities, styling Kim Kardashian for Vogue India’s March 2018 issue.

Anaita has won accolades like the Best Fashion Stylist of the Year at the IIFA Awards (2005, 2006), Most Stylish Bollywood Designer at the MTV Lycra Awards (2007), and Best Costume Design at the IIFAs (2007, 2010). Her designs have appeared in Vogue, Elle, L’Officiel, and Rolling Stone.

With a career spanning films, editorial, advertising, and red-carpet styling, Anaita is widely credited with bringing professional styling to the mainstream in India—long before it became a commercial norm. Beyond styling, Anaita has been a masterclass host for the Vogue India Wedding Show, and a council member for the inaugural Vogue Fashion Fund Awards (2013).
